Hudson Valley Girl Scouts Use Peer Education To Share Knowledge About Kelp

A resident of the Hudson Valley, teen Bailey Rodriguez is very concerned with climate justice and has been using her involvement with the West Lakeland Girl Scout troup to help share information about ecology and aquaculture.

For her Girl Scout Gold Award, Bailey Rodriguez is working on spreading the word on Sugar Kelp fertilizer’s benefits towards the health of local flora, fauna and waterways. To earn her award Bailey has been working on peer education both in person and via the web and has produced this amazing—and informative—video:
